A Normal Monoguy

Today I have updated flash 10 final and OpenOffice.org 3.0. It has been claimed that the it works faster than ever. You may consider read this review from blognone by mk.  Here is the way to update Flash 10:

1. Download Flash 10 final
2. Install the package by double click on it. you will be asked for the root password.

For OpenOffice.org 3.0, do the following(you may need to be root to do so):

1. Download OpenOffice.org 3.0 
2. Open a terminal and uninstall the old version of OpenOffice.org
   

   sudo apt-get remove openoffice*.*

3. Unpack the downloaded file
   

   tar -zxvf OOo_3.0.0_LinuxIntel_install_en-US_deb.tar.gz

4. Now cd to the followng directory
   

   cd OOO300_m9_native_packed-1_en-US.9358/DEBS/

5. Install all deb
   

   sudo dpkg -i *.deb

6. Again cd to the following folder
   

   cd desktop-integration

7. Install the last package
   

   sudo dpkg -i openoffice.org3.0-debian-menus_3.0-9354_all.deb
